Bring your analytical skills and subject matter expertise to lead key projects in RBNZ’s Money Group. Permanent, Wellington based. 5 weeks annual leave plus 15 wellness days. Opportunity to provide leadership in a dynamic and open team environment. Te tūranga – The role The Advisor in the Money and Cash Policy teams plays a senior role in developing and delivering policy that supports efficient, innovative, and inclusive money and payments system for New Zealand. As Advisor, you will lead policy projects, provide high‑quality analysis and advice, and engage with stakeholders across government and industry. Current key team policy priorities include payments modernisation, cash access, and the future of money. Ō pūkenga – About you 7+ years' experience in public policy, regulation, financial services, or a related field Relevant tertiary qualification (economics, finance, law, or similar) Proven experience leading and delivering complex policy, analytical, financial, or regulatory projects Strong stakeholder management, relationship‑building, and collaboration skills Excellent written and verbal communication Experience coaching, managing, or leading individuals and teams Sound understanding of New Zealand economic issues and legislative process Strong judgement, strategic thinking, and ability to identify and address policy issues Ko wai matou – Who we are We’re kaitiaki (guardians) of New Zealand’s financial ecosystem – enabling economic wellbeing and prosperity for all New Zealanders.
