Site Engineer

We are partnered with a South Island owned and operated civil contractor looking for a Site Engineer or Project Engineer to be based in Dunedin. You will begin working on a major infrastructure project, an awesome project to add to your CV! Key Responsibilities: Plan and schedule work procedures to ensure projects are undertaken efficiently and in a cost-effective manner. Interpret plans, regulations and codes of practice to direct progress of the work, making sure that specifications and regulations are followed, and proper methods and materials are used. Assist with costs and payments and negotiation with clients and subcontractors. Record construction progress and variations from the design drawings or specifications. Project quality assurance documentation and project reports. Complete site set outs and as builts. Communicating with subcontractors regarding project and contract requirements. What we Require: Organisational and time management skills with the ability to apply initiative to problem solving. Excellent attention to detail Hold an NZCE, diploma or degree qualification in Civil Engineering or similar. Experience working as a site or project engineer on civil construction projects.
