Environmental Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental Advisor to join our team in Picton, supporting the delivery of a significant marine infrastructure project in one of New Zealand's most spectacular natural environments. What you'll be doing: As an Environmental Advisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring our projects are delivered responsibly and in compliance with environmental requirements. Working closely with construction and project teams, you'll: Support the implementation and management of project environmental requirements Develop and maintain Environmental Management Plans Undertake environmental monitoring and water quality sampling Assist with compliance reporting and consent condition management Carry out environmental inspections, audits and field reviews Deliver toolbox talks and environmental briefings to project teams Support incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives Work alongside Marine Mammal Observers and environmental specialists as required Champion environmental awareness and best practice across the project What we're looking for You will bring: A qualification in an environmental-related field (preferred) At least 2 years' experience in an environmental advisory or similar role within construction or infrastructure Knowledge of New Zealand environmental legislation and compliance requirements Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills A proactive approach and passion for environmental stewardship A full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence Experience working on large-scale infrastructure projects and engaging with councils, regulators, mana whenua and community stakeholders will be highly regarded.
