Physiotherapist (Rehabilitation)

Physiotherapist (Rehabilitation), Nelson Hospital, Fixedterm Full-time Working across a mix of inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings, you'll support patients to maximise their independence, improve function, and achieve their rehabilitation goals. This is a varied role which offers the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population, including neurological, orthopaedic, medical, and older persons' rehabilitation. You'll be part of a supportive multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred care. About the Role Assess, plan and deliver evidence-based physiotherapy interventions. Provide rehabilitation services across both inpatient and to a lesser extent outpatient clinic. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapists, Speech Language Therapists, Social Workers, Nurses and Medical Staff. Support patients and their whānau through their recovery and rehabilitation journey. Contribute to service development and continuous quality improvement initiatives. This is a fixed term parental leave cover for up to 12months, working 80 hours per fortnight (1.0 FTE), Monday to Friday. Hours will be between 6.00AM to 8.00PM. About you Registration with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand and a current APC. Previous physiotherapy experience, ideally within rehabilitation services. Strong clinical reasoning and assessment skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A commitment to providing patient-centred care and achieving positive outcomes. The ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. The successful applicant must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid New Zealand work visa at the time of application.
