Senior Marketing Executive

Madman NZ is looking for an experienced and creatively driven Marketing Executive to join our New Zealand team. This is a hands‑on role for someone who loves film, understands audiences and knows how to turn a great release into a compelling cultural moment. You’ll lead integrated campaigns across theatrical and home entertainment titles, with a particular focus on bringing New Zealand films to local audiences. Reporting to the General Manager – NZ, you’ll work closely with filmmakers, producers, exhibitors, media partners, publicists and our Australian team. You’ll also manage and support the development of our Marketing & Content Executive. WHAT YOU’LL DO Develop and deliver creative, audience‑led marketing campaigns across paid, earned and owned channels Lead marketing strategies for selected New Zealand films, including grant applications and campaign reporting Work with filmmakers and producers on key assets including posters, trailers and social content Brief and oversee creative work across print, digital, television, outdoor and social media Secure publicity, develop media and influencer relationships, and coordinate previews and talent opportunities Manage Madman NZ’s social channels, film accounts and consumer EDM activity Build partnerships, promotions and special events with exhibitors and aligned brands Manage campaign budgets, creative resources and exhibitor co‑op activity Monitor campaign performance, audience sentiment and emerging platform trends Lead, mentor and develop the Marketing & Content Executive Our preferred candidate will Hold a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field Minimum 3 years of relevant marketing experience Strong knowledge of digital and social media marketing Excellent writing, communication and relationship‑management skills Experience managing budgets, deadlines and multiple campaigns simultaneously A sharp eye for creative work and exceptional attention to detail The confidence to pitch ideas, editorial opportunities and brand partnerships Experience managing or mentoring others A genuine passion for film, storytelling and connecting content with audiences Note - This role is based in Auckland Central with a mix of in‑office and work from home days.
