Clinical Administrator - Gastroenterology Contract: Fixed term - Part Time (0.3 FTE) Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is dedicated to serving all New Zealanders. About the Role This position will provide administration support for the roll out of a new programme within our Gastroenterology/Endoscopy unit. This role will focus on the administration of a National register, referrals management, contacting patients, wait listing/scheduling and supporting the nursing team involved with this initiative. The Clinical Administration Support will provide a high-quality customer service to patients interfacing with our Gastroenterology/ Endoscopy Service. This is a fixed-term opportunity for 12 months, working 12 hours per week across Tuesdays and Wednesdays (6 hours per day). The salary band for this role is $72,035 - $79,573 (pro rata). About the Team/Service/ Location Our busy combined Endoscopy and Medical Day Stay provides a comprehensive range of services for our Hutt Valley population. This includes diagnostic and interventional Gastroenterological procedures and an Outpatients service. Our medical Day Stay provides an extensive range of treatments including intravenous infusions such as iron and blood transfusions as well as specialized medications for patients with long term conditions. About you We are looking for someone who is highly organized and able to manage competing priorities. You will have excellent customer service skills and be comfortable and confident with speaking to patients over the telephone. You will have previous healthcare administration experience along with knowledge of scheduling and waitlist management.
