Join Southern Land Queenstown and gain hands‑on experience from day one, working on diverse surveying and land development projects within a multidisciplinary team. You’ll collaborate with surveyors, engineers and planners, use modern surveying technology, and develop the practical and technical skills to build a successful long‑term career. Your Key Responsibilities Research: Search and interpret land titles, survey records and plans. Calculations: Complete survey calculations and boundary traverses. Surveying: Carry out cadastral, topographic, construction set-out, monitoring and as-built surveys. Fieldwork: Use our modern Trimble GNSS/GPS and Total Stations and DJI drone to collect accurate data. Data Processing and Drafting: Process field data and prepare survey plans and drawings using 12d Model and AutoCAD. Cadastral: Prepare Cadastral Survey Datasets (CSDs) for Land Transfer surveys Development: Learn to support subdivision and land development projects from resource consent through to completion. What You’ll Bring Qualifications: Bachelor of Surveying (or equivalent). Enthusiasm: A genuine interest in surveying, land development and the wider property industry. Attitude: A positive, practical approach with a willingness to learn and get involved. Teamwork: The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to work with a range of people. Accuracy: Good attention to detail and a commitment to producing quality work. Adaptability: A willingness to work across both field and office environments. Technology: Experience in 12d, AutoCAD, and Trimble an advantage. Initiative: The ability to take direction, ask questions and progressively take ownership of your work. Eligibility: New Zealand citizenship or residency.
