About the Role The primary purpose of the role is to enhance and supportthe wellbeing of children, adolescents and families who are under the care ofthe specialised mental health services outpatient community teams. Work will beundertaken within the community in consultation with the clinical team tosupport the goals within their individual treatment plans. About the Team/Service/ Location The Christchurch office is based on the Hillmorton site. We have 2 part time (20 hours per week) positions forCommunity Support Workers across Ashburton and Rangiora, who has a clearpassion for young people and their families. Experience in a mental healthsetting is highly desirable. The clinicians on the Team have a range of skills and areasof clinical expertise. Are you reliable, self-motivated and wantto contribute to effective service delivery? Our Community Rural and Outreach Teams (Child, Adolescent& Family Mental Health Service) are specialist mental health service thatprovides assessment and treatment of young people up to 18 years of age whopresent with moderate to severe mental health problems, and their families. As part of this specialist service and multidisciplinary team, you will providecommunity support to our young people. You will develop and regularly review a job plan and caseload with theClinical Manager. The ability to effectively communicate and workcollaboratively with young people, family/whanau, community, and statutoryorganisations is essential. Bring your enthusiasm and motivation to work with us and we'll provide you witha great opportunity to enhance your skills in a specialty area. Managing yourown caseload, you'll need great organisation and excellent time management to keepup with this exciting client group. You will be able to: Demonstrate an understanding of the significance of andobligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiritiprinciples in a meaningful way in your role. Establish and maintain positive working relationships withpeople at all levels within the public and private sectors, related industryand community interest groups and the wider national and internationalcommunities. Demonstrate a strong drive to deliver and take personalresponsibility. Demonstrate the highest standards of personal, professional,and institutional behaviour through commitment, loyalty, integrity, andconfidentiality.
