About the Role Our Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team is currently looking for a skilled Psychologist, passionate to make a difference in the lives of children and young people experiencing mental health and behavioural difficulties. The role will primarily involve carrying out neurodevelopmental assessments for tamariki and rangatahi e.g. for Autism, ADHD, Intellectual Disability. This role is vital to the mental health of our children and young people across Taranaki as you will be supporting them through their journey and helping their whānau and others in the community understand their strengths and needs. This role will be working within our integrated model of care. There will be opportunities and support for professional development e.g. assessment of FASD if required. Access to the most up to date digital psychometric tests will be provided. The team works with children and young people 4-18 years of age and has close links with the child development team, paediatricians and Non-Government Organisations. Passion for Mental Health & Addictions; exceptional interpersonal & communication skills.
