Digital Marketing Specialist (Performance Marketing) / National Support Posted: 18/08/2026 Closing Date: 06/09/2026 Job Type: Fixed Term - Full Time Location: Auckland-West Job Category: Marketing ABOUT THE ROLE Are you an analytical, hands-on digital marketer with some experience in paid media and performance marketing? We are looking for a Digital Marketing Specialist – Performance Marketing, to join us on a 7-month fixed term contract , to help support fundraising, awareness and campaign outcomes that make a real difference for animals across New Zealand. If you are early in your career or you want to develop your paid media campaign experience, this could be the opportunity for you. Working closely with our Digital Marketing Executive, this fixed-term role will support the delivery, optimisation and ongoing improvement of SPCA’s paid digital marketing activity, with a strong focus on our SPCA Charity Google Ads account. You will assist with executing and improving paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads and Microsoft Ads, helping ensure activity is well targeted, well tracked, regularly refreshed and continually improved. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys combining practical campaign delivery with data-led thinking. You will monitor performance, identify opportunities for growth, support testing and reporting, and contribute to long-term digital performance initiatives across always-on and campaign-based activity. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES In this role, you will - Support the oversight, management, and ongoing development of the SPCA Charity Google Ads account Assist in the execution and optimisation of paid media campaigns across Google Ads, Meta Ads, and Microsoft Ads Continuously monitor, analyse, and refine campaign performance Ensure ongoing campaigns are regularly refreshed, tested, and improved Work directly with the Digital Marketing Executive to execute long-term strategies Assist in A/B testing and performance optimisation Track campaign performance and provide reporting for campaigns you steward ABOUT YOU You are proactive, organised and enjoy working with data. You understand how to improve campaign performance, and are confident supporting paid media activity from setup through to optimisation and reporting. Our ideal candidate has - At least one year of proven experience with Google Ads, Meta Ads and Microsoft Ads. A solid understanding of performance marketing, including experience working on large multi-touch campaigns. Strong working knowledge of campaign setup, optimisation and reporting across paid digital platforms. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data into actionable insights Experience with UTMs, conversion tracking and campaign reporting conventions. A basic understanding of web SEO/GEO Good written communication skills, including the ability to support clear ad copy. Experience with Google Charity Accounts or not-for-profit marketing would be an advantage, but is not essential.
