About the Team:\nThe Air Traffic Services Development (ATSD) unit sets the requirements, architects, designs, develops, tests, deploys andmaintains New Zealand’s Air Traffic Management systems and Aeronautical Information Management systems utilised within New Zealand airspace.
\nWe design and maintain our own Air Traffic Management (ATM) systems and additional supporting systems which providecritical inputs into the ATM systems. That means we write and maintain the codethat runs our mission and safety critical systems. It requires strong attentionto detail and systematic approach to development, whilst looking to the latestenhancements through continuous improvement.
About the Role:\nWe’reexpanding our Aeronautical Databases and Messaging Systems(ADAMS) software engineering team with an opportunity for an additional Software Engineer to join us on a permanent full-time basis at our Christchurch campus.
\nIn the roleyou’ll architect, design, develop, test, document, deploy, maintain and supportthe real-time critical systems which the ADAMS software team are responsiblefor. These include web-based systems and a mobile application.

About You:\nThis role isbest suited for a driven, proactive software engineer who enjoys complexproblem solving, working as a team and some office banter.
\nTo beconsidered, you will hold:

- Anhonours or master’s degree in computer science or software engineering.Alternatively, a numerical degree with demonstratable equivalent experience \n
- Atleast two years’ experience working in a software development team with astructured development environment \n
- Expertisein Java and equivalent languages \n
- Aproven record of efficiently and productively producing high-quality designs,code and documentation \n
- Abilityto work in a dynamic business, collaborate with people, show resilience andagility, take ownership and focus on delivering successful outcomes. \n

- Experiencein development of web-based applications, APIs and related areas \n
- Experiencein real-time, safety critical systems. \n

You will work on systems that aretechnically complex and very interesting. Additionally, you will work in closepartnership with a dedicated team of Air Traffic Service and Air TrafficSupport Service staff responsible for operational requirements and acceptancetesting, and with system engineers, network engineers, and other specialistengineers supporting the multiple technologies employed.
