That's why we're looking for a Junior Facilities Manager to join our National Property & Facilities team. Junior Facilities Manager Permanent | Full‑Time | 40 hours per week Flexibility to work remotely from anywhere in New Zealand. Some travel to SPCA sites as required Working across approximately 28 Animal Services Centres and more than 90 Op Shop locations, you'll gain exposure to facilities operations, maintenance coordination, asset management, contractor management and property administration, building the foundations for a long‑term career in facilities management. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING Reporting to the National Property & Facilities Manager, you'll work closely with leaders across our property, retail and operational teams while taking increasing ownership of key facilities activities as your experience grows. Coordinate maintenance requests across SPCA's national property portfolio, ensuring issues are tracked, actioned and resolved. Build relationships with contractors and service providers to support planned and reactive maintenance works. Assist with site inspections, facilities compliance activities and preventative maintenance programmes. Support the management of property, asset and facilities data, helping maintain accurate records and reporting. Provide coordination and administrative support for property projects, capital works and portfolio initiatives. Work collaboratively with Centre Managers, Op Shop leaders and internal stakeholders to support safe, well‑maintained facilities across New Zealand. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR You're organised, proactive and eager to build a career in facilities or property management. You enjoy solving problems, working with a variety of people and keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes Up to 2 years' experience in facilities management, property, construction or a related field. Exposure to maintenance coordination, contractor management or building operations would be advantageous. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Confidence using Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel and other digital systems. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships. Full New Zealand Driver Licence. A relevant qualification in facilities management, propertyor business would be beneficial but isn't essential.
