Property Lending Associate

This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established, privately owned lender with a strong reputation across New Zealand and Australia. Known for their innovative approach and high-performance culture, they're expanding their Property team and looking for an experienced lender who thrives on the detail of complex deals just as much as building great relationships. You'll take ownership of assessing and approving property loan applications while bringing a practical and balanced lens to credit decisions. You'll make sure turnaround times are consistently met, and play an active role in growing referral relationships with brokers and advisers. This is a great hands-on role for someone who enjoys the detail of complex, specialist scenarios as much as the relationship side of the business. Key Responsibilities Review and assess incoming property loan applications, working through financials, security, and risk with a practical, common-sense lens Make lending decisions on deals within your delegated authority, and prepare clear recommendations for anything that needs sign-off above your limit Liaise directly with brokers, advisers, and introducers - answering queries, talking through deal structures, and keeping relationships warm Manage a live pipeline of applications, prioritising to hit turnaround times and monthly lending targets Stay across CCCFA and other regulatory requirements, making sure every file is compliant and well-documented What you'll bring: Proven experience as a property lender or credit assessor within a finance company, non-bank lender, or bank Solid understanding of property lending products, structures, and policy Knowledge of specialist lending and complex loan scenarios Strong grasp of relevant legislation, including CCCFA, and current market trends Confidence exercising sound judgement and making lending decisions within a delegated authority Strong relationship-building skills with brokers, advisers, and external partners High numerical and analytical ability, with excellent attention to detail #J-18808-Ljbffr
