About the Role Here is an exciting opportunity for a Physiotherapist with a passion for paediatrics who is looking for a challenging and rewarding role within the community. We are seeking an experienced, motivated and energetic Physiotherapist to join the Starship Community service. In this role, you will provide assessment and therapy to children and young people with developmental and disability needs as part of our child development service. Children are seen in their homes, early childhood centres and other community settings. We would especially like to hear from physiotherapists with experience working with children under 2 years and their families. For more information, please see the position description here About the Team/Service/ Location Starship Community provides interdisciplinary care and cultural support to children, young people, their families and whānau living within the Auckland District area. A part of the Starship Child Health directorate, our nursing, allied health and technical staff are responsible for delivering health care services to children, young people, and whānau in their community. We are committed to delivering whānau-centered care that focuses on the health and wellbeing of children and their whānau. Getting to know our communities, working closely with them, removing inequities and barriers to health care for priority populations, are key drivers for us each day. Service delivery is guided by the Enabling Good Lives (EGL) principles. About you NZ Registered Physiotherapist holding a current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate Current and clean full New Zealand driving license Relevant clinical experience in health and/or disability sectors An understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your role An overriding passion for improving outcomes for children If you have a commitment to delivering and improving community-based models of care with quality outcomes and objectives this may be the role for you.
