Service Manager - Emergency and Medical Management Rotorua and Taupo HospitalsPermanent, fulltime (Monday to Friday) About the Role Based in Rotorua, the role reports to the Group Director Operations and is responsible for the operational and financial performance of a group of services, ensuring the delivery of high quality services to meet patient care requirements, building service capability/sustainability, and meeting contractual and medico-legal obligations. In addition to managing the Emergency Department of both hospitals, the role also covers managing the Medical Management Unit (MMU), the Integrated Operations Centre (IOC), nursing agency, duty managers, the hospital telephonists, volunteers, and other similar functions. The successful candidate will work in partnership with Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora - Lakes Service Managers and community stakeholders to ensure delivery of appropriate emergency services to the Rotorua and Taupo communities. The role is challenging, rewarding and well supported by a team of committed, passionate and professional reports, clinicians, colleagues and management.
