As the Trade Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading the trade team, supporting daily operations, and ensuring a high standard of customer service for our trade customers. This is a hands‑on leadership role that requires strong organisation, product knowledge, and team management skills. This is a full-time role, Sunday to Thursday 39.5 hours per week. Key Responsibilities Lead and motivate the trade team to achieve sales targets and departmental objectives Plan and manage team rosters to ensure effective coverage and smooth daily operations Deliver expert advice and support to trade customers, ensuring an excellent in‑store experience Maintain high standards of presentation, stock availability, and merchandising Support inventory control and operational requirements Ensure all health and safety standards and procedures are followed Act as a key liaison between the trade team and store management Customer‑Focused Leadership – A strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service while supporting business outcomes Leadership & Communication – Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and drive engagement Trade Knowledge – Experience within hardware, building supplies, timber, tools, or a related industry is highly regarded; however, strong leadership skills are essential. Commercial Awareness – Confidence supporting sales, stock control, and inventory management Health & Safety Mindset – A proactive approach to maintaining a safe working environment Licensing – Must hold a Full New Zealand Class 1 driver’s licence (forklift licence advantageous) Why Join Us?
