Applicant location - Hawke's Bay Term - 3 years Time commitment – Cyclical meetings, and sub-committees as needed Remuneration - Paid Fee payable per Board meeting Incumbents restanding? - Yes Website - sporthb.net.nz Position Description Sport Hawke's Bay is seeking up to two Trustees who are passionate about the overall hauora of the Hawke's Bay community. Our aim is to have a diverse Board with a wide range of backgrounds and expertise, to govern the organisation effectively and who collectively have strong connections to our community. The organisation has monthly Board meetings and Board Members may also need to attend meetings of sub-committees. We are part of a national network of 14 Regional Sports Trusts and we work to make our community and particularly our young people - more active, more often through play, active recreation and sport. We work closely with a wide range of partners including Sport New Zealand, Health New Zealand, local Councils, Iwi, regional sports organisations, Schools and kura and other funders. Ideal Applicant Please note one existing Board member is reapplying. Essential requirements are a desire (and the time) to make a positive difference to physical activity and well-being levels in Hawke's Bay, and an interest in governance. Sport Hawke’s Bay is looking for Trustees and gender, ethnic diversity, geographical spread and broad cross sector knowledge will be considered.
