Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 23/03/2027, End Date: 15/12/2027 (Study Leave) Secondary (Years 7–15) / wharekura, Certificated teacher English, Health and physical education, Learning languages, Mathematics and statistics, Science, Social sciences, Technology, Te reo Māori, The arts Empower the mothers, to empower their families, to empower their children We are seeking an experienced secondary school leader for our specialist teen parent school. This is a fixed-term position from 23 March to the end of Term 4, 2027 to cover study leave. This role includes a teaching component. The ideal candidate will: be passionate about empowering and educating teen māmā provide professional leadership that empowers and supports others within a team actively promote the school’s vision, mission and values within the learning environment value and integrate Mātauranga Māori and uphold the principals of te Tiriti o Waitangi continue to nurture effective relationships with external agencies and community partners have proven experience as an educational leader including managing professional growth cycles, monitoring and developing individual learning plans, tracking and monitoring ākonga progress, pastoral care leadership, data and collection analysis, maintaining communication and reporting with key stakeholders as required. Demonstrated leadership and management experience in a Teen Parent environment, with knowledge of culturally responsive and trauma-informed practice, and experience supporting neurodiverse learners, would be highly advantageous. Requirements Current New Zealand teacher registration. Recent experience with the NZQA framework, teaching the New Zealand Curriculum, and NCEA assessment.
