Job Description

Join our team in Kirikiriroa (Hamilton), where strong community connections and long‑standing partnerships underpin the work we do. In this role, you’ll play a pivotal part in delivering sustainable Three Waters Infrastructure solutions across the Waikato region. As a selected partner on both the Waikato Waters and IAWAI – Flowing Waters panels, we’re helping shape resilient water infrastructure that will support the region for generations to come. As our project portfolio continues to grow, we’re looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to strengthen our position as a delivery partner, advising on and supporting the delivery of a range of Three Waters and infrastructure resilience projects. These projects encompass all aspects of water infrastructure – treatment plants, stormwater reticulation, bulk supply pipelines, pumping stations, reservoirs, mains renewals and associated networks. You’ll be joining a supportive, high‑performing local team embedded in the community, with the experienced backing of a larger national business that genuinely looks after its people. The Role You’ll be involved across the full project lifecycle – from early feasibility through to delivery and handover. While you’ll bring strong project leadership and strategic oversight, you’ll also be comfortable staying close to the detail and pitching in with the day‑to‑day. You will issue CI’s, lead meetings and keep clients well informed through clear reporting. We’re looking for someone with proven experience delivering projects in complex stakeholder environments, who can confidently lead through all stages of delivery on significant, high‑impact work. Your Experience Needs To Include Around 8+ years’ post‑grad experience in civil engineering, project delivery, or construction management, including some time spent performing in the role of consultant or client‑side Project Manager. Relevant qualifications in a STEM discipline such as Civil Engineering, or Construction Project Management. A current driver’s licence and willingness to travel to project sites locally and across the wider region. A range of project experience through all stages of civil infrastructure delivery, in particular delivery of Third‑Waters assets. Strong leadership coordinating design and technical teams, including management of multiple project stakeholders and the consenting process. The proven ability to challenge concepts, resolve problems and provide solutions. Detailed knowledge and preparation of robust contract documents, correspondence and reporting, including demonstrable experience with NZS3910/NZS3916 contracts acting as Engineer’s Representative. Strong understanding of relevant New Zealand building regulations and legislation, and a strong focus on health and safety. You will receive a competitive salary package and the opportunity to become an employee shareholder. Flexible working arrangements support work‑life balance. We’re committed to your ongoing growth, providing access to networking, industry memberships and professional development. We also offer regular social events, wellbeing initiatives and opportunities for personal and professional growth. #J-18808-Ljbffr
