Tourism Holdings Limited (thl) is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our Christchurch Rentals team as their Detailing Team Leader. We are looking for a Detailing Team Leader on a fixed term full-time basis, to support our Detailing Manager and lead a high-performing team responsible for preparing our rental fleet to the highest possible standard. About the Role: As the Detailing Team Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring our rental vehicles are presented safely, legally compliant, and customer ready. Leading a team of 10-30 detailers (seasonal), you’ll balance operational delivery with people leadership-motivating your team, maintaining standards, and contributing to unforgettable customer journeys. What You’ll Be Doing: Lead and motivate the Detailing team to consistently deliver high-quality vehicle presentation Coordinate daily workloads in partnership with the Detailing Manager Be a visible role model, leading by example through your behaviour and communication Ensure vehicles are prepared to an exceptional standard, exceeding customer expectations Monitor and follow up on detailing and cleaning standards Support onboarding, training, and coaching of team members Maintain a positive team culture and healthy group dynamics Communicate clearly with the Detailing Manager and wider branch leadership Ensure all detailing areas remain clean, tidy, and presentable Escalate unresolved issues appropriately Actively contribute to Health & Safety practices and compliance Work collaboratively with internal departments and external providers as needed What We’re Looking For: Full, current and valid driver’s licence (manual and automatic preferred) Proven supervisory or team leadership experience Strong communication and interpersonal skills Sound technical knowledge of vehicles, systems, and detailing processes Confidence working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail A positive, proactive, and enthusiastic attitude Ability to train, coach, and support team members at all levels Competent with Microsoft Office applications Reliable, flexible team player willing to support the team as required Availability to work on a rotating roster, including weekends Why Join Us?
