Role Overview You’ll be working as a Shift Electrician on a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern. Your usual work pattern is a 12 hour shift, 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off (shift times are 8am to 8pm / 8pm to 8am). This is a large-scale industrial processing facility in Southland. The site operates continuously and at significant scale, so your contribution to plant uptime matters. You’ll be part of a reliability-focused maintenance crew responsible for keeping complex electrical systems running safely and efficiently. What You’ll Be Doing Responding to and resolving electrical faults across a large, complex industrial plant Carrying out planned and preventive maintenance on HV and LV electrical equipment Working on and around motors, drives (VSDs), PLCs, and associated control systems Logging work accurately through the CMMS and contributing to shift handover records Collaborating closely with the reliability team to support longer-term improvement work Supporting a strong team safety culture and effective shift handover Supporting contractor-led project and upgrade work as required What We’re Looking For NZ registered electrician (EWRB) – this is a firm requirement Solid industrial electrical experience; heavy industry background preferred but is not essential Competent with VSDs, PLCs, and industrial control systems Able to work independently on shift and make sound decisions under pressure A willing learner who takes pride in their trade and communicates well across a team Comfortable relocating to Southland – or already based there Physically fit and able to work across a large industrial site Remuneration and Benefits This role comes with a total salary package of $130-140K+ that makes it one of the stronger industrial electrician opportunities available in the region: Base salary approximately $95-100,000 per annum Shift allowance of $21,600 per annum on top of base salary 5% bonus 10% employer superannuation contribution Two weeks annual leave loading (take two weeks in a block and receive an additional two weeks’ pay once a year) 15 days sick leave per year, cumulative annually with no cap Southern cross health insurance $1,000 per annum phone allowance Company share matching scheme – after three years, shares purchased are matched one-for-one Free site transport via company bus service Relocation assistance available for the right candidate #J-18808-Ljbffr
