We’re looking for someone with strong coordination skills, a technical mindset, and the ability to pick up processes quickly to join our Environmental Planning team as a Planning Technician. In this varied role, you’ll help keep the resource consenting process running smoothly by supporting applications, information management, reporting, and financial administration. Planning Technician experience isn’t essential — what matters most is accuracy, clear communication, and confidence working in a busy team environment. Ngā Pukenga | What you’ll need to succeed strong administration skills and excellent attention to detail confidence working with systems, data, documents, and process-driven tasks the ability to understand and work with technical information clear written and verbal communication skills confidence using Microsoft applications and the ability to learn new systems an interest in planning, consenting, environmental processes, or local government Experience with the Resource Management Act or resource consent processes would be helpful, but isn’t essential.
