About the role Join our Sterile Sciences team in Invercargill and play a vital role in supporting safe, high-quality patient care across Southland. As a Sterile Sciences Technician, you will be responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilisation, and distribution of reusable medical devices used in surgical and clinical settings. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will help ensure critical equipment is processed to the highest standards, supporting healthcare teams to deliver safe and effective care every day. Reprocess and distribute reusable medical devices used across operating theatres and clinical services Operate specialised sterilising equipment and follow robust quality management systems Inspect, assemble, package, and sterilise equipment in line with industry standards and departmental procedures Maintain accurate documentation and electronic records to support quality and compliance requirements Identify and upscale equipment faults, ensuring devices are safe and fit for use Contribute to a clean, organised, and efficient work environment while maintaining a strong focus on patient safety About You You are a motivated and detail-oriented team player who takes pride in delivering work to a consistently high standard.
