Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is a niche multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy who provide engineering design and construction of production processing plant, utilities and supporting infrastructure in the food, beverage, pharmaceutical and biosciences industries. With existing mechanical, electrical, chemical process, and structural teams they are currently looking to expand their mechanical team, and as such are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join the team. You will see mechanical plant projects through from concept to completion, being involved in scope & costings, concept and detailed design, including the production of layout and equipment drawings, site surveys, P&ID and PFD, item and equipment lists, and models and project delivery. To be successful in the role you will have: A tertiary Mechanical Engineering qualification Proven experience with mechanical plant design and project management experience working on industrial projects – preferably food and dairy industry projects Experience seeing projects through from concept to on-site commissioning Proven proficiency with Inventor (preferred) Experience with contract management, contractor management and contract variations This is an opportunity to work on a variety of design and build projects (new and upgrades), with potential for further career advancement opportunities.
