Hours of work will be 24 hours a week. Our Child Health Community Service is a multidisciplinary, community-focused team that works across the paediatric continuum to deliver high-quality, whānau-centred care. About the role We are seeking an organised, family-focused, and proactive person to provide high-quality administrativesupport to our Child Health Community Service. This role is pivotal in ensuring smooth service delivery through effective patient administration, referral management, communication, and clerical support. As the Child Health Community Service Programme Support Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for many patients, whānau, and health professionals. You will provide efficient telephone and administrative support while ensuring the accurate management of patient information and referral processes. Key responsibilities include: Provide administrative support to ensure the effective delivery of Child Health Community Services. Coordinate referrals, appointments, clinic schedules, and waiting lists in accordance with service guidelines and timeframes. Maintain accurate patient information and data integrity within WebPAS and other health information systems. Act as a key point of contact for patients, whānau, healthcare providers, and community agencies, responding to enquiries professionally and sensitively. Prepare correspondence, reports, and service documentation, and support data collection and reporting requirements. Ensure patient records and information are managed securely and confidentially. Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams to support quality patient care and positive health outcomes. About you Experience in healthcare administration, clinical scheduling, or patient management. Knowledge of patient administration systems such as WebPAS, FPIM, or similar healthcare information systems. An understanding of patient confidentiality, privacy requirements, and health sector administrative processes. Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clinical teams, patients, and whānau. A commitment to supporting equitable, high-quality health services and positive patient experiences. About the Team/Service Our team is a multidisciplinary team that is community facing but works across the paediatric continuum. The programme support role will work alongside nursing and social work members of the Child Health Community team.
