About the Role We are looking for an experienced senior nurse to join our team to promote quality improvement and patient safety and facilitate and provide clinical education to the nursing staff at the Te Whetu Tawera mental health unit. Reporting directly to the Nurse Director, you will partner with the Te Whetu Tawera Nurse Unit Manager, Charge Nurse as well as work alongside your fellow nurse educator colleagues tostrengthen the nursing role and to support professional nursing workforce development across the mental health and addictions directorate as required. This is your opportunity to influence strategy by being part of the Nursing Leadership group for the Mental Health Services Team. Te Whetu Tawera is an Acute Adult Mental Health Inpatient Unit serving a population aged between 18 and 65 years. The area of advanced speciality practice is Acute Adult Mental Health provided by a multi-disciplinary Team. About you You will be aRegistered Mental Health Nursewith Level 4 PDRP andatleast five years clinical practice as well as previous experience in senior nursing roles. You will be a committed professional with a well-grounded clinical background You will ideally have recently completed or be studying toward a relevant Postgraduate Diploma in Mental Health Nursing practice or teaching A Full NZ Driver's Licence is also essential.
