Job Description
At Hynds, you\'ll be the face of the branch for customers across the civil, water, wastewater and drainage industries. You\'re the one they rely on to get sorted and back on the job. Reporting to the Branch Manager, you\'ll move between the front counter, the back office and the yard, so no two days look the same. One minute you\'re pricing a quote, the next you\'re processing invoices, then you\'re out loading a truck. It\'s hands-on, it\'s varied, and it keeps our branch running. What You\'ll Be Doing Front-counter service, sales, quotes and processing orders Branch admin - invoicing, receipting stock, credits, daily banking and credit control Yard and stock control - stocktakes, cycle counts, coding product, dockets and deliveries Loading and unloading trucks safely, receiving inwards goods, and keeping the yard tidy and well-stocked Becoming a genuine product expert so you can give customers real solutions, not just answers What You\'ll Bring Customer service and yard experience - you\'re comfortable at the front counter and out the back A full (Class 1) driver\'s licence; a forklift F endorsement is a real plus, but we can train the right person Confidence to read a customer and solve things on the spot Solid computer skills and accuracy with numbers, invoicing and stock The fitness to be active all day and handle product up to around 20 kg Industry product knowledge is a bonus, not a must What\'s In It For You Health insurance (subject to eligibility) Employee Assistance Programme Access to company partner discounts Ongoing training, upskilling and development Why Hynds We\'ve been New Zealand\'s leading supplier of water and water-based waste management for civil and rural infrastructure since 1973 - and we\'re still proudly family-owned.
