About the role\nOranga Tamariki is seeking an experienced and innovative recruitment partner to lead the delivery of our Social Worker recruitment Strategy. The position is fixed term until 30 June 2027. This is a unique opportunity to influence recruitment outcomes nationally and make a significant difference by helping attract talented social workers who can support tamariki, rangatahi and whānau across New Zealand. As the Senior Talent Partner, you will take a lead role in developing and implementing targeted and innovative recruitment initiatives, build strategic partnerships across the sector to address workforce challenges. Working closely with national leaders, education providers, community organisations and other government stakeholders, you will help shape sustainable talent pipelines and strengthen our social worker workforce.
Core day-to-day responsibilities will include\n- \n
- Lead the implementation of Oranga Tamariki's Social Worker Recruitment Strategy. \n
- Design and deliver innovative attraction campaigns and talent sourcing initiatives. \n
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tertiary providers, professional bodies and community organisations. \n
- Identify and develop new pathways to attract social workers into Oranga Tamariki. \n
- Proactively source and engage talent across New Zealand and internationally where appropriate. \n
- Analyse recruitment trends, market insights and workforce data to inform recruitment strategies. \n
- Think outside the box and challenge traditional recruitment approaches to develop effective workforce solutions. \n

- Significant experience in recruitment, ideally bringing some knowledge and experience recruitment in the health and social work sector \n
- Be able to show demonstrated success in developing and delivering attraction and sourcing strategies. \n
- Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills. \n
- Strong communication and influencing abilities. \n
- Strong project management and organisational skills. \n
- A passion for wanting to have an impact on all communities across New Zealand. \n

Oranga Tamariki offer a step-based remuneration package, that offers progression annually for experience through tenure.
