Job Description
The Role As a Maintenance Electrician on Night shift (4pm - Midnight), you'll be the difference between a smooth production run and a costly delay. You'll maintain and repair critical production equipment, diagnose faults with precision, and implement smart solutions that keep our operations running at their best. Working within a structured maintenance schedule, you'll bring both technical expertise and quick thinking to a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Flexibility to cover different shifts when required is part of the deal. Flexibility to cover different shifts when required is part of the deal. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned and preventative maintenance to minimise disruption to production. Diagnose and rectify electrical faults quickly and efficiently. Maintain accurate reports on equipment failures and preventative actions taken. Work closely with other departments to ensure production deadlines are met. Monitor equipment condition and consult with supervisors to get ahead of potential issues. Adhere to all health and safety policies, helping maintain a safe working environment. Contribute fresh ideas to process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives. Attend meetings and training as required. What We're Looking For Registered Electrician, ideally with an industrial background. Current practising licence. Experience with PLCs, Analogue/Digital control, and AC/DC motor drive systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and fault-find effectively. Bonus points for familiarity with newspaper presses (Goss manufacture) and publishing/packaging equipment. Strong computer skills and knowledge of communication protocols (232, 422, Ethernet). Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
