PTL are looking for a senior structural engineer to join our dynamic team of structural engineers and fire engineers. The role will be based in Auckland as a satellite to our Christchurch and Queenstown offices. While PTL work with all structural materials, we are leaders in mass timber design both in New Zealand and around the world. As inventors and key developers of the Pres-Lam structural system, and experts in large scale engineered timber buildings over the last 15 years, PTL are at the forefront of this emerging construction market. Role Description The successful candidate will initially be PTL’s only Auckland‑based engineer, supporting a strong portfolio of active Auckland projects. Working closely with our Christchurch and Queenstown offices, the role offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued growth of PTL’s Auckland presence, with a view to build and mentor a local team of structural and fire engineers. The successful candidate will: Have an internationally recognised tertiary degree in structural engineering Have at least 5 years' NZ based experience Be a chartered structural engineer or be on track to gain chartership Have a strong track record of leading the design and monitoring of construction projectsli>Have a love of learning and sharing knowledge Be focused on people and relationships Be passionate about the opportunity to grow others, motivated by a leadership role, with the ability to own the delivery of high quality client outcomes.
