Build high impact partnerships Turn strategy into outcomes Fixed Term | Part- Time 0.6 FTE Based at Te Pā Mahika Kai o Pikiraurahi, Southland Lead meaningful kaupapa Build high impact partnerships Turn strategy into outcomes Te Wai Parera Trust is seeking a capable and relationship-focused Waituna Pā Site Manager to support the restoration, protection, and enhancement of the Waituna cultural landscape. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to kaupapa that strengthens connections between mana whenua, the environment, whānau, and the wider community. The successful applicant will work closely with Trustees, Papatipu Rūnaka, partners, funders, agencies, whānau, landowners, and community stakeholders to coordinate Trust activities, support governance processes, develop funding opportunities, and help deliver projects that advance environmental, cultural, community, and economic aspirations. In This Role, You Will Build and maintain trusted relationships with Trustees, mana whenua, whānau, community groups, funders, agencies, and project partners. Coordinate hui, wānanga, workshops, meetings, community events, and stakeholder engagement activities. Support Trustees with governance administration, reporting, planning, budgets, and correspondence. Identify and pursue funding opportunities, prepare funding applications, and manage related reporting requirements. Coordinate the delivery of Trustee-approved projects, including workplans, budgets, timelines, risks, and reporting. Promote the work and achievements of Te Wai Parera Trust through communications, updates, newsletters, website content, and community notices. Support cultural confidence, tikanga-based approaches, and kaupapa Māori principles across Trust activities. We Are Looking For Someone Who Has Experience in stakeholder engagement, relationship management, project coordination, governance support, community development, or a related field. Strong written communication skills, including experience preparing reports, funding applications, correspondence, or briefing material. The ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and coordinate work across a range of partners and stakeholders. Financial literacy and confidence supporting budgets, expenditure tracking, and reporting. A commitment to Te Ao Māori, tikanga, and kaupapa Māori principles, with an understanding of, or willingness to learn, Ngāi Tahu values and te reo Māori. A collaborative approach and genuine interest in supporting mana whenua aspirations, environmental stewardship, mahinga kai, and community-led development. This is a one-year fixed-term position at 0.6 FTE, with the opportunity for renewal subject to funding availability, organisational priorities, and performance outcomes.
