As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessment, treatment, care coordination, and support to tāngata whaiora and their whānau within a community-based setting. Working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, you will develop therapeutic relationships, deliver evidence-based interventions, and support individuals to achieve their recovery goals while maintaining independence and wellbeing within their communities. About the Team/Service/Location Our Mental Health and Addiction Services team is dedicated to delivering high-quality, community-focused care across Te Tai Tokerau. About you As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will bring a passion for supporting people experiencing mental health challenges and a commitment to delivering culturally safe, recovery-focused care. You will have: Nursing Council of New Zealand registration and a current practising certificate Demonstrated clinical experience in mental health nursing, with the ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care Strong understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and its application within health care practice Excellent communication, relationship-building, and multidisciplinary teamwork skills Ability to work autonomously, manage a varied caseload, and contribute positively to service improvement initiatives Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
