Property Services Specialist (Maintenance Specialist) Hōhepa is a disabilitysupport service in the Hawke’s Bay for people with intellectual disabilities.These people are full of life, and you will be supporting our community to seethe vision of ‘Every life fully lived!’ We're looking for anexperiencedProperty Specialist (Maintenance)to join our team. Thisis a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys painting, decorating, generalmaintenance and vehicle management. You'll play a key role in maintaining Hōhepasites to high standard. You will have access to a work vehicle during workinghours. The role would ideally suita jack of all trades type person who can work alone or within the team andloves to clear the ‘to do list” each day. You will carry out a range ofproperty maintenance duties, including light building duties, and painting. Hōhepa has a large number ofvehicles that you would be managing, from standard repairs to more complexpanel beating. Oversightof preventative maintenance schedule and routine checks. Incoordination with the Business and Partnership manager and wider PropertyTeam, prioritise and schedule maintenance tasks for the property and fleetvehicles. Fixingor replacing faulty equipment and appliances in houses and sites. Repairingfurniture, doors, and cabinetry. Coordinatingexternal contractors and repairs where needed. Preferred Skills& Experience: Priorexperience with building repairs / maintenance Relevanttrade qualification (preferred but not essential) Strongpainting, decorating, and general trade skills. Confidentcompleting hands‑on repairs and maintenance tasks. Customer focused with a high standard of workmanship. FullNZ Drivers Licence is required (and confidence driving both manual andautomatic vehicles) Excellentcommunication skills (verbal and in writing) Solidtechnology and systems capability – we use a few maintenance managementtools, covering tasks list and health and safety. This sits alongside dailyuse of Microsoft products. Themain focus of the Property Services Team is to ensure that each person wesupport is able to live and work in a safe and secure environment and enjoyfacilities that meet their needs. Hōhepa property is located on two main sites(Clive and Poraiti); we also manage properties in wider Napier area. There is a little bit ofeverything for this role. You’ll be a part our close‑nest team looking afterour property portfolio, with various stakeholders. This role has a strong focuson health and safety, someone who can implement their DIY/Tradies skills in aunique environment and be able to work with a diverse group of people.
