Job Description

Barfoot & Thompson is New Zealand’s largest privately owned real estate company and has remained family-run for over 100 years. With more than 1,800 salespeople across over 80 branches, the company sells residential, rural & lifestyle, and commercial real estate throughout Auckland and Northland. Its extensive branch network provides strong local market knowledge and support for salespeople. Barfoot & Thompson also offers residential property management services from over 70 branches, giving clients and salespeople access to a full range of property services. Being non-franchised means you can sell homes all over Auckland without restriction - your potential to earn more commission with Barfoot & Thompson is unmatched. The Real Estate Salesperson role is a full-time, hybrid position based in Warkworth, with flexibility to work from home. Day-to-day responsibilities include prospecting for new listings, conducting property appraisals, preparing and presenting marketing proposals, and managing the sales process from listing through to settlement. The role involves organising and hosting open homes and viewings, responding promptly to buyer and seller inquiries, and providing clear, accurate advice on market conditions. The salesperson will prepare marketing materials, collaborate with branch colleagues, use company systems and tools to track leads and listings, and maintain detailed records to ensure compliance with industry and company standards. Building long-term client relationships and actively participating in local community and branch activities are key aspects of the role. Qualifications Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for working effectively with a wide range of clients and stakeholders. Proven sales, customer service, and relationship-building abilities within real estate or a comparable field. Solid organizational, time management, and follow-up skills to manage multiple listings, appointments, and deadlines. Comfort with digital tools and platforms, including CRM systems, online listing portals, email, and basic social media usage. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-performance team environment. Current or eligibility for a New Zealand real estate salesperson license (REA), and commitment to ongoing professional development. Knowledge of the local Warkworth, Auckland, and Northland property markets, or willingness to quickly develop this understanding. Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, in line with client and open home requirements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
