About the Role\nWe have an excitingopportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Paediatric Allergyservice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist.In this seniornursing role, you will work within the multidisciplinary team to assess andsupport tamariki and rangatahi with suspected or diagnosed allergies. You willprovide specialist care, education and ongoing support to tamariki and whānauaround allergy management, prevention and anaphylaxis.Working acrosshospital and community settings, you will also provide specialist education andadvice to health professionals, GPs, schools and preschools, while contributingto best practice, quality improvement and the ongoing development of thePaediatric Allergy service.
Keyresponsibilities include:\n- \n
- Providing specialist assessment, care coordination and case management for tamariki with allergies. \n
- Educating and supporting tamariki and whānau in allergy and anaphylaxis management. \n
- Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to support assessment, diagnosis and ongoing care. \n
- Providing education and specialist advice to health professionals and community providers. \n
- Contributing to clinical guidelines, quality improvement, research and evidence-based practice. \n
- Providing clinical leadership and supporting the development of nursing knowledge and capability. \n

- You will be anexperienced Registered Nurse with advanced clinical skills, strong clinicaljudgement and a passion for improving outcomes for tamariki and whānau. \n
- Youwill be confident working autonomously and collaboratively and bring excellentcommunication, education and relationship-building skills. \n
- You will also have: \n
- Current Nursing Council of New Zealand registration and Annual Practising Certificate. \n
- At least five years' experience within a relevant clinical specialty or senior nursing role. \n
- Advanced nursing skills comparable to Senior Nurse or Expert PDRP level. \n
- A relevant postgraduate diploma, or be actively working towards one. \n
- Demonstrated clinical leadership, teaching and mentoring skills. \n
- Strong organisational and communication skills. \n
- A current New Zealand Driver Licence. \n
- A commitment to whānau-centred, equitable and evidence-based care. \n
