Role Description The Roofing Operations Manager is a full‑time role based in New Plymouth, combining office‑based project coordination and administration with regular site visits . The role is responsible for overseeing roofing operations from initial enquiry and quoting through to project completion. Key responsibilities include coordinating crews and schedules, conducting site visits and measure‑ups, preparing quotes and estimates, ordering materials, and liaising with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams. The role also oversees project progress, job costing, quality control, health and safety, documentation, and operational performance. The Roofing Operations Manager will identify and resolve issues, optimise workflows, support site teams, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time, and within budget. Key Responsibilities Manage day‑to‑day roofing operations and project delivery. Conduct site visits, inspections, measure‑ups, and pre‑start assessments. Prepare quotations, estimates, and job scopes. Coordinate crews, programmes, materials, equipment, and subcontractors. Liaise with clients, suppliers, builders, and other project stakeholders. Monitor job costs, labour, materials, variations, and project margins. Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements. Maintain accurate project documentation, records, and reporting. Identify and resolve operational and project issues. Support staff development, training, and performance. Improve systems, processes, productivity, and operational efficiency. Qualifications & Experience Proven experience in roofing, construction, operations, or project management. Strong understanding of roofing systems, materials, construction practices, and NZ compliance requirements. Experience with measure‑ups, estimating, quoting, job costing, and project coordination. Strong organisational, scheduling, and resource‑planning skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively. Strong communication and relationship‑management skills. Confident working with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and site teams. Competent with Microsoft Office, Xero, and/or project management systems. Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and commercial decision‑making skills. Full NZ driver licence and ability to regularly attend construction sites. #J-18808-Ljbffr
