Clinical Nurse Specialist - Paediatric Allergy Shifts across Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday Paediatric Outpatients/Outreach Service, Christchurch Hospital Health New Zealand| Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi andis committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders. About the Role We have an excitingopportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Paediatric Allergyservice as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. In this seniornursing role, you will work within the multidisciplinary team to assess andsupport tamariki and rangatahi with suspected or diagnosed allergies. You willprovide specialist care, education and ongoing support to tamariki and whānauaround allergy management, prevention and anaphylaxis. Working acrosshospital and community settings, you will also provide specialist education andadvice to health professionals, GPs, schools and preschools, while contributingto best practice, quality improvement and the ongoing development of thePaediatric Allergy service. Keyresponsibilities include: Providing specialist assessment, care coordination and casemanagement for tamariki with allergies. Educating and supporting tamariki and whānau in allergy andanaphylaxis management. Working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to supportassessment, diagnosis and ongoing care. Providing education and specialist advice to health professionalsand community providers. Contributing to clinical guidelines, quality improvement, researchand evidence-based practice. Providing clinical leadership and supporting the development ofnursing knowledge and capability. About You You will be anexperienced Registered Nurse with advanced clinical skills, strong clinicaljudgement and a passion for improving outcomes for tamariki and whānau. Youwill be confident working autonomously and collaboratively and bring excellentcommunication, education and relationship-building skills. You will also have: Current Nursing Council ofNew Zealand registration and Annual Practising Certificate. At least five years'experience within a relevant clinical specialty or senior nursing role. Advanced nursing skillscomparable to Senior Nurse or Expert PDRP level. A relevant postgraduatediploma, or be actively working towards one. Demonstrated clinicalleadership, teaching and mentoring skills. Strong organisational andcommunication skills. A current New Zealand DriverLicence. A commitment towhānau-centred, equitable and evidence-based care.
