About the Role As a Public Health Nurse, you will deliver public health nursing services across the community. Public health nursing includes assessment of population health, attention to the multiple determinants of health, an emphasis on primary prevention, and continued commitment to best evidence-based public health nursing practice. About the Service Thepublic health nursing team ispart of the National Public Health Service (NPHS) within Health New Zealand -TeWhatu Ora, and work towards Pae Ora (healthy futures for all) by engaging with the wider determinants that impact people's health, focusing onoranga/wellbeing, prevention, protection, and population-level intervention. We are connected across boundaries to deliver public health services that are nationally planned, regionally delivered and locally tailored. About you As a successful candidate, you will show and understand the importance ofTeTiriti o Waitangi andbeskilled in applying its principles effectively in your role. You build andmaintainpositive relationships at all levels and model an agile approach, youlearn quickly,andadapt fast. Youcanutilise advanced nursing knowledge and skills through reflective practice, criticalthinkingand professional judgement to provide competent care and advice while working to the top ofyourscope.
