Glass Goose - Chef de Partie - Part-Time Auckland City, N, NZ. This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth. We're getting busier, and as such need some more help in the kitchen! This role is ideal for a passionate, hard working individual, with a commitment to high standards and an interest in learning and developing their skills in the kitchen. Your main responsibilities include: Completing ordering and stocktaking to plan and manage food costs Managing rosters and wage costs Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard Understanding the food control plan and understanding the cleaning standards and processes within the kitchen Ensure all food is prepped and portion controlled prior to service to ensure no food prep is required to be completed during service Ensuring clear communication between the kitchen, front of house and head office We are anticipating the role's hours to be approximately 12-15 hours per week.
