About the Role We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated RegisteredNurse who has a passion for women’s health to join our fantastic service! In this role you will work closely with other nursing staffand the wider multidisciplinary team. You will be part of a team who is highlymotivated to provide an excellent standard of care that is patient centric, andthat is designed to reduce inequity and meet the needs of our community. With both a maternity cover fixed term and permanent FTE dueto staff within the service stepping up into senior roles, this is a greatopportunity to join our team and provide care for wāhine and their whānau. About the Service Gynaecology Outpatient Services covers a broad range ofclinics and services to support the Gynaecology Service and women’s health inCanterbury. The successful applicant will over time be trained and orientatedto all three Gynaecology Outpatient areas including the Gynaecology ProcedureUnit, Colposcopy and Hysteroscopy Unit and the Gynaecology Outpatient Clinics.The diverse and broad range of procedures and clinics makes this an excitingopportunity for a Registered Nurse to develop and grow their gynaecologyknowledge and skills.Examples of clinics include but are not limited to,pre/post gynaecology surgeries, fertility, urogynaecology, gynae oncology,pelvic pain, miscarriage management, difficult contraception insertions,terminations, biopsies, colposcopy and hysteroscopy. About You Gynaecology experience would be an advantage and providestrength to your application; however, the successful candidate will besupported through an individualised orientation specific to their knowledgebase to ensure successful ability to perform the role to a high standard. Be available to workshifts Mon – Fri in a range of shifts between 8am-5pm Experience inGynaecology and/or Women’s Healthpreferred Has a passion forWomen’s Health and have a comprehensive understanding of the healthinequities that exist in women’s health Excellent communicationand interpersonal Skills Motivated, adaptable,flexible, and solution focussed Work well in a team aswell as autonomously Preferably competent invenepuncture and cannulation (although not essential) Registered with theNursing Council of New Zealand with a current Annual PractisingCertificate (APC) Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuringexcellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
