About the Role As the New Zealand Country Representative for Dahua Technology Australia Pty Ltd, you will be responsible for leading and developing Dahua’s business operations in the New Zealand market. Reporting directly to the Managing Director of Dahua Oceania, this is a key leadership position responsible for driving business growth, strengthening channel partnerships, developing the local team, and executing Dahua’s market strategy in New Zealand. Responsibilities Country Business Management Take overall responsibility for Dahua’s business performance and market development in New Zealand. Develop and execute country-level business plans aligned with the Oceania regional strategy. Identify growth opportunities and drive sustainable revenue and market share growth. Develop, manage, and strengthen relationships with distributors, resellers, system integrators, and other channel partners. Establish effective channel strategies, partner coverage, and sales plans to support business growth. Monitor channel performance and work closely with partners to identify opportunities and address business challenges. Market Development Maintain a strong understanding of the New Zealand security, surveillance, IT and technology markets. Analyse market trends, customer needs, competitor activities, and emerging business opportunities. Provide regular market insights and recommendations to the Oceania management team. Lead, manage, and develop the New Zealand team, providing clear direction, coaching, and performance expectations. Build a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance team culture. Ensure effective communication and collaboration across sales, technical, operations, and other functions. Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, channel partners, industry stakeholders, and strategic accounts. Represent Dahua in key customer engagements, partner meetings, industry events, and other business activities. Cross-Regional Collaboration Work closely with the Australia and regional teams across sales, product, technical, marketing, operations, and HR. Communicate effectively with Dahua headquarters and regional stakeholders, including regular communication in Mandarin Chinese where required. Governance & Compliance Ensure local business activities comply with New Zealand laws and regulations, as well as Dahua policies and internal governance requirements. Promote appropriate commercial discipline, business ethics, and risk awareness within the local team. Qualifications Proven experience in the security, video surveillance, IT, ICT, networking, low-voltage, or related technology industry. Strong experience in channel sales, distribution, and channel partner management. Demonstrated experience in leading and managing a sales or cross-functional team. Strong understanding of the New Zealand market and channel ecosystem. Proven track record in business development, revenue growth, and strategic account management. Strong commercial acumen with the ability to develop and execute business strategies. Excellent stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills. Fluent English and professional working proficiency in Mandarin Chinese are required. Ability to work independently, make sound commercial decisions, and take ownership of country-level business outcomes. Proactive, hands‑on, and results‑oriented leadership style. Ability to travel within New Zealand and between New Zealand and Australia as required. Preferred Skills Candidates with established networks and experience across security distribution, CCTV/video surveillance, access control, alarm systems, networking, IT distribution, system integration, or related technology channels will be highly regarded.
