Role Description The Graduate Surveyor role is a full-time, on-site position based in Christchurch. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with field surveys, collecting and validating site measurements, and supporting the preparation of survey reports and drawings. The role involves working closely with project managers, engineers, and site teams to ensure accurate data is used for planning, design, and construction activities. The Graduate Surveyor will also help maintain survey equipment, contribute to setting out on site, and comply with health and safety procedures. As part of a supportive team, the Graduate Surveyor will receive guidance and training to develop professional skills and gain exposure to a variety of construction projects. Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification or near completion in surveying, civil engineering, construction, or a related discipline. Understanding of basic surveying principles, site measurement techniques, and construction processes. Familiarity with survey instruments (e.g., total stations, GPS equipment) and an interest in learning survey software. Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in data recording. Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with site crews, engineers, and project managers. Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Willingness to work on-site in varying conditions and adhere to health and safety standards. Full or restricted driver’s license and eligibility to work in New Zealand. Previous internship, work placement, or practical experience in construction or surveying is an advantage but not essential. Good understanding of greenfields subdivisions. #J-18808-Ljbffr
