About the Role Fixed Term to June 2027 (staff leave cover) Full time (80 hours per fortnight) Tōtara Haumaru, North Shore You will collaborate with the wider clinical team to provide compassionate, patient-centred care across the surgical pathway, supporting patients before and after surgery to achieve the best possible outcomes. This is a great opportunity for experienced surgical nurses to grow their expertise in a supportive and well-established ward environment. About the Team/Service/ Location Rua Ward, which opened in 2024, is dedicated to service innovation and development. This purpose-built facility focuses on providing residents of Waitematā with increased access to high-quality elective surgery. As a Registered Nurse, in Rua Ward, you will join a busy general surgical unit with a strong focus on Urology and Gynaecology surgery. This role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced acute environment, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients throughout their surgical journey. About you New Zealand Registered Nurse, with a current Annual Practising Certificate A minimum of 2 years post registration acute experience as Registered Nurse in New Zealand Recent experience working within a Surgical Ward, Urology and/or Gynaecology A confident communicator and natural problem solver Someone who thrives in high energy environments and can prioritise effectively Working at Health New Zealand Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is dedicated to ensuring excellent healthcare for the people of New Zealand.
