About the Role As an ACC & Eligibility Contract Administrator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of ACC contracts and patient eligibility activities. You will work closely with clinical and non-clinical teams to ensure claims, referrals, invoicing processes and eligibility assessments are completed accurately and within required timeframes. This role plays a key part in supporting revenue optimisation across the organisation by monitoring contract activity, preparing invoicing information, maintaining high-quality data, and identifying opportunities to maximise revenue. You will also provide advice, education and support to staff on ACC processes, patient eligibility requirements and related policies, while building strong relationships with ACC, Immigration New Zealand and internal stakeholders. About you Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, supported by relevant study or experience. Strong computer skills, including intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel. Excellent organisation, planning and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build positive working relationships. Experience working in a healthcare, clinical, contract administration or related environment. A proactive, customer-focused approach and the ability to work independently while contributing to a high-performing team. About the Team/Service The ACC and Eligibility Team is responsible for providing comprehensive revenue maximisation and support services across the organisation in relation to ACC and patient eligibility processes and policy. The team supports services with claims management, invoicing, patient eligibility assessments and provides expert advice to clinical and clerical staff. It also acts as the central coordination point for the maintenance and administration of ACC contracts and contributes to strategic development activities with ACC and the Ministry of Health. Te Pae Hauora o Ruahine o Tararua - MidCentral is a 350-bed hospital in the city of Palmerston North, Manawatū, a city in the Lower North Island of New Zealand. Palmerston North Hospital is a secondary hospital and offers most medical and surgical specialties with the exception of Cardiothoracic, Plastic and Neurosurgery. The hospital serves a local population of 180,000 but is the base for a regional head and neck oncology service which has responsibility for a population of 550,000 and draws patients from Whanganui, Taranaki, and Hawke's Bay.
