About the Role We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our District Nursing team based in Dargaville. This rewarding community-based role provides an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of people across the Kaipara region by delivering high-quality nursing care where it is needed most. As a District Nurse, your priorities are to meet the complex needs of patients and their family/whānau using contemporary nursing care, which is safe, appropriate and effective. The care is based on comprehensive assessment, ensures continuity, and is patient/client centred, culturally sensitive and evidence based. Care is provided in the community, either at the patients place of residence or in community clinics, or other suitable environments as mutually agreed with the patient. Key responsibilities include: Working in partnership with clients and whanau to manage conditions and promote health, prevent disease, maintain wellbeing and support independence Provide education and support that empowers individuals and families to manage their health and achieve greater self-reliance Click here to view the position description About the Team/Service/Location Our District Nursing teams purpose is to encourage and educate families and individuals towards wellness and self-reliance in health. You will work in partnership with clients to promote health, prevent disease, maintain wellness and provide nursing care to referred clients in the community. About you As a District Nurse, you will be confident and adaptable, able to work independently and as part a multidisciplinary team. With strong communication and relationship-building skills, you will be passionate about delivering equitable, person-centred care in the community. Registration with Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practicing Certificate A minimum of two years' post-registration nursing experience, preferably within primary health or community settings. A current full New Zealand driver's licence.
