About The Role Alliance Group is seeking motivated and reliable individuals to join the processing team at the Pukeuri Processing Plant in Oamaru for seasonal opportunities. Positions are available across a range of processing roles, including General Labourers, Boners, and Butchers. Positions are available on both day and night shifts within a large multi-species processing facility. Key responsibilities Perform processing duties across a variety of tasks within a multi-species operation Work on day shift (7.00am – 4.00pm) or night shift (5.00pm – 2.00am) Work Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays during peak production periods Maintain commitment to workplace health and safety Work as part of a team committed to safety, quality, and continuous improvement About You Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and medical assessment Have a strong commitment to workplace health and safety Be physically fit and capable of performing manual work Be reliable, motivated, and committed to attendance Enjoy working as part of a team Be able to provide valid proof of identity (Driver Licence, Passport, or Birth Certificate) Previous experience in the meat processing industry is advantageous but not essential Benefits Guaranteed minimum rate of $29.09 per hour for General Labourer positions (inclusive of allowances) Higher earnings available for skilled Boners and Butchers, including additional allowances Minimum 30 hours per week, with opportunities to work up to 45 hours per week Up to 11 months of full-time seasonal employment Full on-the-job training provided Opportunities to gain NZQA-recognised qualifications Career progression and upskilling opportunities Free onsite health services, including Occupational Health Nurse, Physiotherapist, Counselling Services, and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) About Us Alliance Group, part of the Alliance | Dawn Meats partnership, is one of New Zealand's leading red meat processors and exporters.
