Job Description

Senior Alarm Technician required for growing team. Five years’ experience minimum required. The Company Fire Security Services (FSS) is shaking up the industry! Following growth in our customer portfolio we are seeking an additional Senior Alarm Technician to join our team. This is a full-time position with a guaranteed 40 hours per week. We provide our customers with 24/7 callout support therefore the role includes rostered on call duties. The nature of the work involves keeping cool under pressure and thinking on your feet to problem solve. Your positive attitude, effective communication skills and sense of humor will help you to get along with customers and the team. To hit the ground running, you will need to bring a minimum of five years’ experience “on the tools” and have a full valid NZ Driver License, and knowledge of fire alarm systems used in NZ and the NZ & AU Fire Alarm Standards. Your role will include but not be limited to: Carrying out installation work as part of our Minor Works team Diagnosing system faults Repairing faults Rostered On-Call to attend afterhours call outs. You will hold: A clean, full NZ driver license Affinity to work at heights. Ability to be part of On Call Roster Preferably hold NZQA Fire Detection & Alarms L4 or be well on the way to completing this qualification A minimum of five years’ experience with fire alarms in New Zealand. Be familiar with relevant NZS 4512 and the Building Act. Great customer service and communication skills Sound technical and problem-solving skills.
