About the job: We’re looking for an experienced Operator to join our team in Timaru! The role involves: Operating and maintaining heavy plant and machinery, such as Hydrovac, high-pressure jetting truck, excavators, loaders, rollers and heavy trade vehicles to transport, load and unload materials safely. Reinstate sites with asphalt and topsoil. General labouring such as cleaning, clearing and lifting. Work as a team and use excellent quality workmanship. What you’ll need: Ideally you will have extensive experience operating Hydrovac and High-Pressure Jetting Truck and hydraulic excavators. Desirable experience on asphalt and topsoil reinstatement. You will have experience in the maintenance of plant and mechanical knowledge of how plant works. A relevant TMO Qualification and Dangerous goods transport is desirable You will need to be physically fit, health and safety focused and work well in a team as well as independently. Full class 1 and 2 licenses, WTR endorsements, and an ability to drive a manual is essential! All preferred candidates will be required to complete pre-employment checks to the employer’s satisfaction. These checks include but are not limited to, Ministry of Justice criminal conviction report, medical assessment, and drug and alcohol testing.
