Job Description
We are seeking an experienced SOC 2 Project Manager to lead the coordination and delivery of an accelerated SOC 2 Type 2 programme within a complex, technology-led organisation. This is not a generalist technology Project Manager position. We are looking for someone who understands security assurance, control frameworks, audit readiness and the practical challenges of coordinating evidence and remediation across multiple business and technical teams. The role You will take responsibility for coordinating the end-to-end programme, including: Developing and maintaining the integrated SOC 2 delivery plan Coordinating audit-readiness and evidence-collection activities Tracking controls, evidence requests, dependencies and remediation actions Establishing clear ownership, milestones and delivery expectations Working across Information Security, Engineering, Operations, Product and business teams Managing risks, issues, actions and programme dependencies Providing clear governance reporting to senior stakeholders Coordinating engagement with external auditors and assurance partners Identifying delivery risks early and escalating blockers appropriately Maintaining momentum across multiple control owners and workstreams Ensuring activities are completed within the required audit timeline You will bring: Demonstrated experience managing a SOC 2 Type 2, ISO 27001 or comparable security assurance programme A sound understanding of controls, audit evidence, remediation and control‑operation periods Strong programme planning, governance, reporting and delivery skills Experience managing senior stakeholders and cross‑functional technical teams Confidence working with external auditors, security specialists and control owners The ability to drive accountability and delivery under tight deadlines Excellent communication, organisation and problem‑solving skills Experience delivering programmes within complex technology, SaaS or cloud environments Formal project or programme management qualifications would be beneficial, but direct experience delivering security compliance or audit‑readiness programmes will be more important. You will lead a business‑critical programme with significant customer and commercial importance. The work is highly visible, time‑sensitive and supported by senior leadership, giving you the opportunity to make a tangible impact from the outset.
