About the Role Join the National Bowel Screening Programme and play an important role in improving the health and wellbeing of people across the By of Plenty. As a Community Engagement Worker, you will support eligible people aged 58 to 74 years throughout their bowel screening journey, from initial outreach and education through to programme completion. This varied community-based role combines engagement, advocacy, health promotion, and administration, offering the opportunity to build strong relationships with individuals, whānau, community organisations, and healthcare providers while contributing to the continued success of this life saving programme. About the Team/Service/Location The National Bowel Screening Programme team is a small, supportive, and passionate group committed to increasing participation and improving equitable health outcomes across the Bay of Plenty. Working across both urban and rural communities, you will enjoy a varied role that takes you beyond the office, connecting with people in their communities, over the phone, and through local networks.
